Founder’s Message

My Dear Friends,

It has been said that we are all made in the image and likeness of our creator who we call as God, All-That-Is, Source, and Tao etc. If we were to identify one characteristic that epitomizes our connection with All-That-Is and establish our divine heritage, it is ‘Free Will’. However, we all face the challenges of the three-dimensional physical reality where the law of cause and effect, more commonly referred to as the Law of Karma, operates impartially. When we understand the power of Free Will, we can see how it creates our reality – ‘whatever happens is a result of the exercise of our Free Will. When we understand the power of the Law of Karma, we can see how our reality is influenced by our Karma. This makes us to believe in determinism – ‘whatever happens has already been determined and we cannot change it’. We therefore have two seemingly opposing forces – Free Will, and Law of Karma, and the observations about these give rise to various beliefs like:

"All is Free Will, Karma is an illusion"

"All is Karma, Free Will is an illusion"

"Free Will is stronger than Karma"

"Karma is stronger than Free Will”

These are the relative truths that are based on an incomplete understanding of the Universal Laws.

To know the absolute truth, we need to clearly understand both the Law of Karma, and Free Will.

• Karma is Impartial

• Karma is Cause and Effect

• Karma is the Law of Attraction

• Karma teaches self responsibility

• Karma teaches us about ONENESS

• Karma is eternal justice/Karma is Fair

• Karma is a scientific law, undeniable and irrefutable

• Karma is not punishment, it is a lesson to be learned

• Karma is the rule of the game in the plane of physical reality

• Karma makes you realize that you are your own best friend and your own worst enemy

• Karma is only applicable in the relative plane of physical reality, not in the absolute reality

• Karma Science liberates you from victim-hood, it teaches you about compassion and kindness

• Karma is - what you give out, comes back...You help yourself by helping others and you harm yourself by harming others

• Free Will helps make choices and perform actions, which have consequences in the future

• Free Will is therefore the foundation of everything we create, including Karma

• Free Will thus helps us to create our own Karma

When we look at all the above points together, we can see the complete picture which shows us that Karma is nothing but an offshoot of our Free Will. We then realize the absolute truth regarding Karma and Free Will, which is as follows:

• Ignorance or lack of self-knowledge binds us to the past Karmic forces...

• Enlightenment or Self Realization ends the Karmic forces...then there is only Free Will…

So, enjoy your Freedom and make choices that are going to benefit you and others!

Dear Readers,

Welcome to this new issue of LIFE TIMES!

This issue is of special significance because we bring to you an update on the various activities that have commenced to bring about the physical manifestation of our long cherished dream ‘Life University’.

The mere mention of Life University shifts the energy of any discussion or meeting. This was evident at the meetings that Dr. Newton had with some of the Hyderabad based Past Life Regression Therapists at Life Research Academy in June. Everyone was very excited that the project has started. Plans were drawn up to make a visit to the site of Life University on 10th June. In a series of meetings, plans have been drawn to:

a) Study the energy of the place and decide the locations of buildings so as to place them on the intersection points of the energy grid thereby maximizing the flow of energy.

b) Build a pyramid for meditation and 20 cottages so that we can begin to have meetings and workshops there.

More details of the visit and other initiatives can be found in the highlights section and also in special articles featuring the progress of the project.

The energy grid mapping has been done by Vanya Orr and would be covered in the next issue of Life Times. She is an extraordinary woman who is a trained nurse, a healer, an intuitive, an environmentalist, and an expert in bio-dynamic farming. Originally from UK, she has made India her home ever since she first came to India in 1994. Vanya was introduced to Life University by another amazing person – Ameli. Through constant self-work, introspection and embodiment, Ameli supports others who desire to live a more authentic life in tune with nature, seeking their highest potential and true calling. She is an expert in building harmonious communities, and Life University is a place where community living would be practiced. It is now easy to see the synchronicity of her meeting Dr. Newton three years ago. Ameli is now a member of the core team responsible for implementation of the Life University Project.

We are sure to see many more such synchronicities that will bring all people who share a similar vision to Life University to play their respective roles in the implementation of this grand vision. In terms of it’s vision and scope, Life University goes beyond anything that has ever been done in the world till date.

The vision of Life University is to become:

• A Spiritual Community built on the foundation of the four pillars: Wisdom, Compassion, Joy and Peace.

• A Self-sustaining eco-friendly city – a Universal City.

• A centre of learning similar to the ancient Universities of Nalanda and Takshashila that facilitates the complete unfolding of the human spirit.

We welcome you to join hands with us to manifest this dream.

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE LAST FEW MONTHS

Dear Readers,

The action and excitement continued without a break during the past two months. We bring you some important developments which have taken place in the months of May, June, and July. Here are the highlights…

Spiritual Trip to Bhutan – Land of the Thunder Dragon

From 8th May to 19th May 2010, the Life Research Academy Team represented by Dr. Newton, Dr. Lakshmi, Rajashekhar, Sridevi, SriRamya, and SriSharan visited Bhutan – The Land of the Thunder Dragon.

The trip was very important as it provided the inspiration and energetic linkages required for commencing the physical manifestation of Life University. A recap of this wonderful trip is featured in this issue of Life Times.

Life University – the beginning of Physical Manifestation

Life University is the long cherished dream of Dr. Newton. He has been working on this since many incarnations! Until the Bhutan trip, the process of fine-tuning the astral template was continuing. However, immediately after the return from the Bhutan Trip, Dr. Newton felt that the timing was just right to begin the process of physical manifestation. He had a series of meetings at the Life Research Academy with the founder trustees of Life Foundation (the trust that was created to bring Life University into physical manifestation), and with members of the core team for implementation of Life University. Meetings were held from 21s to 24th May and from 1st to 4th June. It was planned to visit the Life University site situated 88 kilometers from Hyderabad at Nagsanpally (Rangareddy District), Andhra Pradesh on 10th June. This is a very important date in history of Life Research Academy. The LRA Team and some of the therapists in Hyderabad visited the Life University site and meditated there for the first time and energetically laid the foundation for the Life University. Since then, work at Life University has been going on continuously with the pace of work increasing rapidly with the passage of time. Other important activities were identifying and marking the plan of the first hut ‘Bodhi Sthaan’ at Life University, for which Dr. Newton chose the spot of the meditation on 10th June; and the ‘Seed Bombing on 6th July. A separate article explaining the vision and mission of Life University and highlighting the works undertaken has been featured in this issue of Life Times.

Presentation on “Science of Karma” at Pyramid valley, Bangalore

Soon after returning from the Bhutan trip, Dr. Newton and Dr. Lakshmi visited the Pyramid Valley, Kanakapura Road, Bangalore to attend the National Congress of Spiritual Scientists, 24 – 27 May 2010, which was scheduled to coincide with ‘Buddha Purnima’. Dr. Newton gave a presentation on “Science of Karma”.

Two-day Workshop on “Self Mastery”

This wonderful workshop mainly deals with Shamanic wisdom, soul retrieval and transformation of self-sabotaging patterns and fears. This workshop was held in Chennai at Hotel GRT Grand on 29th & 30th May. It was organized by Nagarjuna.

Two-day Workshops on “Past Life Regression and Spiritual Science”

The Two-day Workshop on “Past Life Regression and Spiritual Science” is an experiential workshop that gives participants the basic information on various topics such as reincarnation, law of karma, soul’s journey etc. and forms the basis for all the residential training programs conducted by Dr. Newton. This workshop was conducted on 12th & 13th June 2010 at the Life Research Academy, Hyderabad. In July 2010 we had two more of these workshops, the first on 10th & 11th July at India Habitat Centre, Delhi and the second on 17th & 18th July at Dehradun. Ambika Khanna, Rishi and Neha Baid organized the workshop in Delhi, and Anil Sinha organized the workshop at Dehradun.

Two-day Workshop on “Money and Spirituality – A Gateway to Prosperity & Success” at Baroda

This is the third time that this workshop has been conducted so far. The first was at Delhi in July 2009 and the Second at Hyderabad in January 2010. Dr. Newton and Dr. Lakshmi presented the workshop in Baroda on 3rd & 4th July. This workshop helps participants identify the limiting beliefs that prevent them from attracting abundance into their lives and then transform them into empowering beliefs that bring about the manifestation of Prosperity and Success

10th Batch of 6-day Residential Training Program on “Art & Science of Past Life Regression”

This workshop was held in the month of June at Celebrity Club Resort, Hyderabad. It is an intense residential workshop which brings about profound healing and transformation in one’s life and also equips one with the knowledge and skills required for practicing past life regression therapy on others. The total participation level went up to 45 members, this being the highest so far in a training program.

On the 5th of June, the certification exam was conducted for the 8th batch of Training Program on “The Art & Science of Past Life Regression”, at the Life Research Academy, Hyderabad. All the seven trainees who appeared for the exam were certified. Congratulations to Nikhil Kapoor (Dehradun), Shoheli Biswas (Cochin), Dr. Sharmila Dhobale (Allahabad), Mala Raja (Mumbai), Geetha Ganapathi (Chennai), Rajendra Gupta (Nagpur), and Radhika Kilaru (Hyderabad). Nikhil Kapoor was adjudged the best Therapist of this batch, and Shoheli Biswas was adjudged the second best. Congratulations once again to Nikhil and Shoheli.

17th International Transpersonal Conference at Moscow, Russia, June 2010

Increasing the Global footprint of the Life Research Academy is an ongoing process. The latest addition to the list was Russia. Dr. Newton and Dr. Lakshmi visited Moscow, Russia to attend the “17th International Transpersonal Conference”, a brainchild of Stanislav Grof, one of the founders of the field of Transpersonal Psychology. The mission of this conference is to present the fundamental role of consciousness in all human affairs and the value for humanity of our growing insights into the nature of consciousness and of the world.

Some of the speakers included Stanislav Grof, Alex Grey, Dr. Newton Kondaveti (who spoke on the Law of Karma), Pilot Baba, Jim Garrison, Rick Tarnas, Amit Goswami, Ralph Metzner, Rajesh Dalal, Stuart Sovatsky, Max and Ellen Schupbach, Karan Singh, Silvia Nakkach, Eduard Sagalaev and Bronislav Vinogrodsky.

The main themes of the Conference were: The Great Spiritual Traditions of the World, Russian Transpersonalism, New Cartography of the Human Psyche and the Holotropic Perspective, Transpersonal Psychology and Deep Ecology, Consciousness Revolution and How to Heal the Global Crisis, Consciousness and the New Paradigm in Science, Extraordinary Human Possibilities, Global Problem and Human Evolution, Spirituality and Politics, Spirituality and Business, Spirituality and Sexuality, Transpersonal Dimension of Art, Transpersonal Psychology and Higher Education.
